Virginia Trip - Day 1

Our Independence Day weekend sorry long weekend (Yes, I took leave on Aug 18th 2008) my mom and my self went to Sathish place. Delta flight took us to Richmond, Virginia 11:15 P.M via Atlanta, GA. Sathish came to airport correct time and picked us, took to his house. Had good dinner and talked ½ hour and went to bed.

First day of our trip is Washington DC. It is two-hour drive from Richmond. Along with us Mohan’s mom also joined. Instead of seeing all the places using car, Sathish suggested to cover all the places using Open top sight seeing bus. We went to DC Union station to catch the bus. After the ticket purchase and 10 Minutes waiting, we all hopped in open top sight seeing bus. It took us to all the sight seeing places in and around of Washington D.C such as US Capitol, National Museum of Natural history, China town, Ford’s Theatre, White House, St. Matthew’s cathedral, Dupont Circle, Woodley park national zoo, Embassy Row, Georgetown shopping area, Lincoln memorial, Washington Monument, Smithsonian museum, Air & space museum. It will take two day to cover all the places so due to time availability; we have only stepped down in US Capitol, White House, Lincoln Memorial and Washington monument places. Mohan mom has brought homemade lunch for all of us. After seeing all the places we have reached to Richmond @ 9:30 P.M.
