நியுயார்க் பயணம் - முதல் நாள் இன்று

For this September long weekend my friends (Sathish,Gopal, Ayya) and myself were waiting for long time.Because we guys had plan to gather in New York for 4days. Yeah… in New York.

Yeah... We are from Little Rock.

It’s been nearly a year, Gopal came to USA and he isgoing to India back again on this year November. Sothought of gathering in nice place and after a heavydiscussion we were decided with New York City. We havebooked the flight tickets (Me from Little Rock - AR,Ayya from Seattle - WA, Gopal from Rochester - NY andSathish from Richmond - VA) and made the necessaryarrangements of making the reservation of sight seeingin NYC and booking room Ramada Inn in Jersey City, NewJersey. This is nearest city to New York and also forcommutation we no need to rely on rental car or cab.Journal square subway station is just couple of blocksaway from the hotel.

Finally the day came (Aug 31st evening). After the 2hours flight delay for all (how come this washappened, we don’t know really). My flight is touchedJFK airport in NYC @ 12.10 AM and my friends werewaiting for me in terminal 8. It cost me 10 minutes togo to that terminal and meet them. Yahoooo. Met thefriends. Not much difference from sathish except hisbody. I think he is daily going to gym (Not LikeMe???). Good work da. Keep it up. Gopal, weighedlittle bit and Ayya no need to say, he is changed lotI mean weight. After bit chat, we took a cab to hotel(Good Sleepy Driver) and checked in to room @ 2.00 AM.

Day one (Sep 1, 2007) is started with Empire StateBuilding. We came out from the ESB @ 2.15 P.M anddirectly went to Utsav Indian restaurant. Had a nicemeal. From there went to New York Public Library andGrand Central Terminal.

Took a break here withStarbucks coffee (Not me!!!). Headed towards TimesSquare and Madam Tussaud wax museum. After that roamedaround New York Down town.
